A two-time all-conference performer, Erik plans on becoming a medical doctor. The person who has had the most influence on his athletic career is his dad, and his favorite snack is chips and salsa.

"Since coming to Luther, I've felt like I have a new family in my new home away from home. The campus atmosphere is such that you can be involved with many different activities. Besides running cross country and track, I'm a member of Jazz Orchestra and the Health Science Club. Undoubtedly one of my most rewarding experiences has been Jazz Orchestra's trip to Brazil. I also had the privilege of going on a Habitat for Humanity trip during spring break."
