Luther Athletic Training Program
With three full-time and one part-time state board of health licensed athletic trainers, plus 18 student-athletic trainers on staff, the Luther College athletic training program is one of the finest programs in the Iowa Conference. These highly qualified professionals are an integral part of the Norse athletic department providing the treatment and rehabilitation of injuries that do occur during athletic competition.

Norse athletes have the luxury of receiving treatment in a 2,100 square-foot facility that houses two offices, a hydrotherapy area, including four whirlpools, 17 treatment tables and a rehabilitation area equipped with two cybex fitron cycles and cybex UBE.
In 2005, Luther was given the approval to begin an Athletic Training Education Program. This program is designed to help the ATS (athletic training student) to serve a vital role in the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injury and physically active individuals. Through curricular qualifications the ATS obtains the knowledge and clinical experience necessary to become an entry-level athletic trainer.
