With goals of teaching and coaching at the high school level, Nathan was able to pursue those dreams while making his mark as one of the best pitchers in Luther history. During his career he was a two-time all-conference honoree and a third-team all-Central Region selection following his junior year. He ranks 9th all-time with an ERA of 3.48 and 4th for career strike outs with 160.

"Luther was the right fit for me because I was looking for a friendly, beautiful environment where I could continue to play baseball. Being a member of the baseball team is like being a member of a family. There is nothing the other players wouldn't do for one another. There's always an upbeat attitude, and everyone wants to play baseball year-round."
