Luther Drops Game one of Three game series with Loras

Luther lost game one of the three-game series with Loras College by a score of 4-0 this evening in Dubuque. Games two and three will take place tomorrow with the start times moved up to 11:30 a.m.
Loras starter Cole Boge pitched a six-hit shutout going eight complete innings. Boge walked two and struck out three.
Mark Weber tallied two of Luther's six hits going 2-for-4 at the plate. Nate Neis, Chris Reynolds, Jake Waddle, and Zack Topping had one hit each.
Adam Kohls (4-3) went the distance on the mound. Kohls allowed two earned runs on nine hits, walked two and struck out six.
Loras produced all of its runs in the bottom of the fifth. The Duhawks tallied five hits in this frame including a bases loaded double.
The loss drops Luther's Iowa Conference record to 7-4, 17-8 overall. Loras is now 6-5 in league play, 16-10 overall.
