Cross Country

During his career, David was a two-time All-American, plus earned all-conference and all-region honors three times. As a senior, he captured the Central Region individual title and was named Central Region Athlete of the Year. David was also presented an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, becoming the 31st student-athlete in Luther College history to received this distinguished honor.

"I had a lot of good recommendations from people concerning Luther, and once I visited and saw the beauty of Northeast Iowa, I was sold on the place. My high school coach, Jayme Skay, got me into running and sparked a passion. Luther head coach Steve Pasche helped me understand the art of distance running and gave me an even greater passion for the sport.

"I loved the team aspect of cross country since high school, but being a member of the Luther team was a riot of a good time with great friends. It was a great investment with great rewards."
