Luther drops double overtime decision to gustavus 1-0

For the second time in as many days, the Luther College men's soccer lost a heartbreaker. This afternoon, the Norse were defeated by Gustavus Adolphus College, 1-0 in double overtime in St. Peter, Minn.
Gustavus' Bret Vander Streek scored the game winner in the 108th minute assisted by Max Malmquist The shot was only the second shot on goal by the Gusties the entire afternoon. Luther tallied eight shots and place three on goal.
The loss drops Luther's overall record to 5-8-1, while Gustavus moved to 6-6-3. This was also the final non-conference match of the season for the Norse.
Luther will return to action on Wednesday Oct. 21 when it will travel to Central College for a match that will begin at 1:00 p.m.
