Luther drops 1-0 decision to nationally ranked loras

The Luther College men's soccer team hosted nationally ranked #5 Loras College here in Decorah under the lights and was defeated by a score of 1-0. The Duhawks lone goal came at 52:28 on a penalty kick by Miguel Bonilla.
Both teams played well in this contest producing solid runs and great defensive efforts. Statistically, Luther out shot Loras 8-7 and both teams were credited with six corner kicks. Luther had two shots on goal in the first half and Loras had two in the second not counting the penalty kick.
The loss drops Luther's Iowa Conference mark to 1-2-0, 3-6-1 overall. Loras remains unbeaten in league play and is now 3-0, 9-1-1.
The Norse will return to action at home on Saturday afternoon when they will host Simpson College at 5:00 p.m. This match will be video streamed weather permitting.
