Luther Defeats upper Iowa university - dane scores game winner

Adam Dane drove in the game winner in the 71st minute unassisted, sending a large home crowd into a frenzy, as Luther went on to defeat NCAA II Upper Iowa University 1-0 this evening. Dane drove a ricochet off a Peacock defender en route to his second goal of the year.
The Norse dominated this match throughout the evening and the score would have been much better for Norse fans if not for the efforts of Upper Iowa goalkeeper Andy Youde. Youde was credited with nine saves, many that were point blank shots.
Luther out shot Upper Iowa University 25-4. The Peacocks tallied just one shot on goal the entire 90 minutes of action.
The win was the first of the year for the Norse who are now 1-3-1. Upper Iowa falls to 1-5-1.
Luther will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 19 when it will host Bethel University at 3:00 p.m.
