1980 graduate of Luther College
24th year as head coach - fifth as head coach for both the men's and women's programs.
Has coached 63 conference champions and 31 All-Americans including 2001 Indoor Distance Medley Relay National Championship team.
Has coached 326 track-and-field all-conference performers.
Named 1995 Iowa Conference Coach of the Year in track and field.
Serves as co-director of the Luther College Distance Running Camp.

Assistant Coach - Mid-Distance/Distance

1997 graduate of St. John's University.
Fifth year as assistant coach.
Also serves as the head men's cross-country coach.
Led Norse to three consecutive Iowa Conference cross country championship in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
His cross-country teams have placed 6th at the NCAA III National Championships in 2006 and 8th in 2007.
Named Iowa Conference Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
Prior to taking over the Norse programs Steve spent two years as an assistant at Williams College (MA), where the women's team won the national championship in 2004 and the men's team finished in the top-10 in 2003 and 2004.
From 2000-2002 head men's coach of cross country at Macalester College (MN).

Assistant Coach - Mid-Distance/Distance

2000 Graduate of Macalester College.
Fifth year as an assistant coach.
Also serves as the associate head coach for women's cross country team.
Led the Norse to back-to-back Iowa Conference cross-country championships in 2006 and 2007.
Her teams have made three straight appearances from 2006-2008 at the National Cross-Country Championships finishing 11th, 10th and 7th respectively.
Named Iowa Conference Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2007.
Named Central Region Coach of the Year after the Norse captured the 2007 Central Region championship.
Joined the Luther staff following two years as an assistant at Williams College (Mass.), where the women's team won the national title in 2004.
Also has a position with Luther's study abroad department.
Four-time All-American in 1500 meter run (1997-2000) while a student-athlete at Macalester College.
Also a two-time All-American in Cross Country (1997, 1998).

Assistant Coach - Throws Men's & Women's

2008 Graduate of Luther College.
Second year as an assistant coach.
Three-time NCAA III All-American in the shot put outdoors.
2008 All-American in the discus.
2008 Iowa Conference champion in both the discus and shotput.
Holds the school record for both the discus and shot put as well as the shot put record indoors.
