Dahlseng - Stenhaug Named All-Conference - Jewell Named Honorable Mention

The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) announced March 4, that Amanda Dahlseng and Camille Stenhaug have been named to the 2009 all-conference team. Dahlseng was a first-team selection and Stenhaug was a second-team honoree, while Sam Jewell was named honorable mention.
Fourteen players, seven on both the first and second team, were named to the 2009 all-conference team, plus six honorable mention honorees. This is the first time Stenhaug has been so honored.
During the 2008-09 campaign, Dahlseng led the Norse in scoring producing 293 points for an average of 12.2 points per game. She also led the team in field goal shooting percentage connecting on 54.4% (98-180), three-point shooting percentage of 53.7% (22-41), and free-throw shooting percentage of 79.8% (75-94). Nine times she led the team in scoring including producing a career high of 25 points in Luther’s 69-62 victory over Central College Dec. 3.
In the Iowa Conference, Dahlseng ranked ninth in scoring (13.2), third in field goal percentage (56%/65-116), second in three-point field goal percentage (50%/15-30) and eighth in free-throw percentage (81.5%/53-65).
Dahlseng completed her Luther career having played in 79 games, scoring 672 points and collecting 288 rebounds. She ranks fifth all-time with a career field goal shooting percentage of 53.3%, connecting on 230 of 431 attempts.
Stenhaug was Luther’s second leading scorer, producing 271 points for an average of 10.8 per game. She led the team with 26 three-point baskets and was third in rebounding with 96.
In seven of Luther’s final 11 games, Stenhaug led the Norse is scoring, producing 20-plus points during this stretch five times. She recorded a career high 24 in Luther’s 68-62 victory over the University of Dubuque on Jan. 19.
After two years in a Norse uniform, Stenhaug has tallied 542 points and has collected 182 rebounds. She has connected on 32.9% of her three-point field goal attempts (53-161) that ranks ninth on Luther’s all-time list. She needs just four more three-point baskets to enter the top-10 in this category.
This trio helped lead Luther to an Iowa Conference record of 9-7 and a tenth consecutive appearance in the IIAC post-season tournament.
Jewell was Luther's third leading scorer producing 10.3 points a game. She led the Norse in rebounding with 150 and also led the team with 53 assists. In Iowa Conference action, Jewell finished the season ranked 21st in scoring (10.2), sixth in rebounding (5.9) and tenth in field goal shooting percentage connecting on 49.5% (54/109) of her attempts.
