Luther finishes 4th at Central Invite

The Luther College cross country team placed fourth at the six-team Central College Invitational this afternoon in Pella. Head coach Yarrow Pasche always uses the first race of the season as a pace race, which means she groups her team according to what pace she wants that particular group to run during the course of the race.
The five runners that scored for the Norse were Katie Dolan, Kim Horner, Annie McKay, Sarah Lundine and Becky Eckerman. All five crossed the finish line within three second of each other from one to five.
As you will see in the rest of the results, all of the Luther runners crossed the finish line in bunches and were not spread out through out the field of 103 runners.
This Saturday, Sept. 12, Luther will host the 38th Annual All-American Invitational. The college races will begin with the women at 11:15 a.m., followed by the men at 11:45 a.m. There are no junior varsity races in the collegiate field.
