Gusties hand norse first loss of the season

Gustavus Adolphus College scored six runs on four hits in the top half of the seventh en route to a 9-5 come-from-behind victory today in Tucson, Arizona. The Norse had taken a 5-3 lead after scoring four runs in the bottom of the sixth. The loss was the first of the season for the nationally ranked #6 Norse who are now 5-1

Kim Hess, batting in the second slot, was 4-for-4. Hess drove in a run and scored once. Danielle Armbruster led the team with two rbi thanks to a double in the sixth. Anna Simonson also had a multiple hit performance going 2-for-4 batting lead-off.

The Norse will face North Central College later today. The North Central game will be the third of 10 on this spring trip to the Tucson Invitational Games.
