Luther Defeated by Coe 3-1

Coe College advanced to the championship game of the Iowa Conference Tournament defeating Luther 3-1 in the semifinals this afternoon in Pella. Luther tallied six hits and scored its lone run in the top of the sixth. Jackie Miller, who was 3-for-3, drove in the run with a single center field.
The loss drops Luther's overall record to 32-8, while Coe moves to 33-10. The loss also drops Luther into the losers side of the bracket. The Norse will face the winner of the Wartburg versus Central game at noon tomorrow. If the Norse win, they will need to defeat Coe twice in order to win the conference tournament. One more loss and they will be eliminated from the tournament.
