Norse beat St. catherine's in five - hake hits grand slam

For the second time in three days Luther defeated the College of St. Catherine at the Tucson Invitational Games. Today the Norse posted an 8-0 victory in five innings. The win increased Luther's win streak to five and overall record to 10-1.
Kelsey Hake got the Norse off to a great start producing a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning. Hake was 2-for-3 in the ball game and scored twice. Jackie Miller, who was 2-for-2, drove in two runs with a triple during Luther's three-run third inning.
BreAnn VanDeer picked up her sixth win of the season. VanDeer pitched four innings and did not allow a batter to reach base and struck out four.
The Norse will face Iowa Conference opponent Buena Vista University for a non-conference game this afternoon.
