Named the Most Valuable Swimmer...was crowned a Liberal Arts Champion in five events that included the 50 free, 100 free, 400 free relay, 800 free relay, and 200 medley relay... was also crowned IIAC Champion the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay, and 200 medley relay...placed second in the 200 free...earned All-America honors at the NCAA III National Championships as a member of the 400 freestyle relay that placed 4th in 2008...also earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 200 freestyle relay...he name is etch as a school record holder as a member of the 200 freestyle relay (1:37.10) 400 freestyle relay (3:29.57) and the 400 medley relay (4:03.22)...lettered five times in swimming and three times in basketball while at Albany High School...13-time all-conference performer in swimming setting school records in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle...six times earned all-state honors...also played on Class 2A state runner-up basketball team as a senior...valedictorian of her class and member of the National Honor Society...daughter of Dwaine and Jeanne Bruns.
